I discovered in the widget settings, and again this may be specific to your version of this theme, that it is good to use what are called the laegacy version of our widgets, instead of the new block versions. This may be because your theme does not use blocks, but I don't know for sure. For now I provide a workaround for your information. Use the widgets that have the calendar type icon, they are the legacy version.
