Value proposition

As a user I want to add personal notes to books so that I can remember what I learned from a book / what I (dis)liked about a book

Description

Acceptance criteria

• a clearly visible field for entering comments is present under each book description
• the book description is minimized to 250 characters per description, so that the comment-field is directly visible without scrolling
• the description can be unfolded to its full capacity by clicking the "read more" Button, which is placed directly next to the last character of the folded description.
• When clicking on the "+" Button a modal window with the actual comment-form will open
• the modal window contains a headline ("What were your thoughts on this book"), the actual comment-field, as well as a "save-my-thoughts"-Button and a skip-Button, which will submit the comment
• when clicking on the skip-Button the user will be directed back to the details-page of the book
• the user can type a comment, which can have the max. length of 250 characters
• when clicking on the "save-my-thoughts" button the modal window closes and shows again the fully visible details page of the book
• the comment will now appear over the "+" Button

Tasks

• create feature branch minimize description and add comment section
• create "read-more" button for description
• add an "add a thought" button that opens a modal when clicked
• create the page thought-modal that contains a headline, a comment field and a button
• create a submit-button "save my thoughts" in the `pop-up-window that will submit the comment to the details page when clicked

I've some small suggestions regarding the Acceptance Criteria

• When clicking on the "+" Button a pop-up-window with the actual comment-form will open ➡️ It's more of a modal window, not a pop-up window. Please also adjust the following points

Thoughts and Questions

• Do I have the option of canceling the process of adding a comment, for example by clicking a cancel button?
• If the number of characters for the entry is limited.
• What happens if the form is sent without an entry?

create the page thought-modal that contains a headline, a comment field and a button -> arent there two buttons? "save my thoughts" + "skip"?

you should mention the pop-up-window that pops up when you click "skip" in the tasks. based on your tasks, i wouldnt know, that there is such a window... apart from that, great work!✨💖
