Hi guys and thank you for this awesome project that I just discovered few days ago, I saw in the documentation https://docs.terrakube.io/user-guide/private-registry that we can already use the api to publish a provider, but I couldn't find any documentation on how this could be done, also is it possible to mirror to the public registry?

Hello @khaounen

I implemented the Terraform provider protocol a longgggg time ago, you can use it but you need to use send all the information directly to the API.

If you want to use it you can do the following:

Lets add the random provider version 3.0.1 to terrakube, we can get the information from this endpoints

You can change the URL from the above paramaters and use a URL that you control, I was using the terraform registry url for example purposes

Now in your terraform code you can have something like this:

Terraform has created a lock file .terraform.lock.hcl to record the provider
selections it made above. Include this file in your version control repository
so that Terraform can guarantee to make the same selections by default when
you run "terraform init" in the future.

You may now begin working with Terraform. Try running "terraform plan" to see
any changes that are required for your infrastructure. All Terraform commands
should now work.

If you ever set or change modules or backend configuration for Terraform,
rerun this command to reinitialize your working directory. If you forget, other
commands will detect it and remind you to do so if necessary.

Great! thank you very much for your quick reply, I'm fine with signing and uploading the binary manually as that can be automated by script. Would be great if the doc can be enriched by the example you shared here to void asking the same question by others,

And if you want to mirror all the public providers at once? right now I use artifactory for that using .terraformrc and I'm able to publish my own plugin providers in specific namespace and everything with hashicorp namespace is mirrored from the public one is there any way to setup something similar to that ?

Currently there is no way to do this, maybe a script could work
