This also opens up the good old can of worms again of whether or not to translate "taint", since in this version it's sometimes translated and sometimes not.

I was unsure. I think in the previous translation it was sometimes changed.

Exactly, and let's not touch that for now because it is a problem for another day, let's leave it as it is.
