Check that session or folder name is not empty #71

It should be checked that session or folder name is not empty otherwise the 
user should not be allowed to save. With empty session or folder names 
unpredictable things happen.

Another issue in this context is that in the current beta release one cannot 
edit a session w/o renaming it because the validation whether a session with 
that name exists also happens when editing. It should only happen when creating 
a new session.
