I think there's some nuances to the docs @khowling.

If you check this article, under the Size Requirements section it gives a good overview

The main thing is to actually end up using ephemeral - and if you check #608 you'll see the issue

You raise a good point on headroom - I wonder what @justindavies would advise... 🙌
