Removal of tags after property change on Datafactory #434

Context:

Customer has an x number of datafactory resources with tags. Tags are used to drive policies (DINE,AUDIT etc) and reporting, CI creation in the CMDB and more.

Issue:

Whenever a property on the datafactory is changed (like setting public to private network) or for that matter any resource write action to the datafactory will result in deleting the existing tags on the datafactory resource. The MS product team acknowledges the issue but the intermediary support team closed the support ticket because they don't get a estimate time of fixing the issue. They have a administrative goal to not keep tickets open for longer than an x period.

The root cause mentioned is: "The patch api is overriding these fields"

Probably one of the PM's like @harishkragarwal who contribute here can tell more about the timelines to fix this issue.

@kromerm Could you find anything related to the ticket id? In the meantime I opened a new ticket because it's still not resolved.

Still having the same issue. New ticket @ MS again closed because the intermediary party can't keep the ticket open if the product team doesn't give a proper timeline for a fix :(
