Just want to start "Feature request" thread for MRI Ruby language support on Azure functions.

Any idea if and when it'll be supported. One of the major differences between Azure functions and AWS Lambda.

This is possible today using custom handlers.

I'll write up how to do this. Once it's ready I can share it here.

It currently relies on portableruby, which offers an older version of Ruby. Reached out to the maintainer about publishing new versions. I didn't want to publish the directions until there's a sustainable way to do this. Let me know if you know how to obtain a self-contained, portable version of Ruby that can be deployed as part of the app.
