Pre-requirements

What dashboard are you reporting an issue on?

Infrastructure

What happened?

Working with a user that meets the requirements per the documentation. When opening the Infrastructure or the Governance template, they are never prompted with the modal dialog for TenantName and AzureKind. Is there a way to force that dialog to appear? The user is logged on with their work account.

How can I solve it?

Thanks.

Steps to reproduce

Try to log in Never prompted

Answer:

If you are not being prompted with the modal dialog for TenantName and AzureKind when opening the Infrastructure or the Governance template, it could be because Power BI is not asking for credentials as they are already cached by a previous use of another Power BI Dashboard accessing the same APIs.

To solve this, you will need to manually set the proper credentials for the GRAPH REST API Data Source. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to File.
  2. Click on Options and settings.
  3. Click on Data source settings.

Also, ensure that you meet the minimum requirements to run the Dashboard:

Wrong Tenant Name WrongTenantNameError ProblemGraphApi
