Master branch default and no context setting

Hi there, a bit confused:

Why is master the default branch?
Further, why is a remote context apparently forced on the build process? Why can't we use a local checkout like most other build actions? Allows to specify build context seems inaccurate here.

I ran into this issue as well

I just added

          branch: main

into the with: section and it worked after!
