@v-anvashist, @V-hmusukula. Could you please look into this ?
The page says this --iteration Iteration path of the work item (e.g. DemosIteration 1).
Shouldn't iteration be an ID? How can that be DemosIteration?????? If it is not ID and this does not take a team then whose iteration will it create the work item in ? What does the comment "Iteration path" mean? Just unbelievable sloppy comment. Why can't this be the iteration Id just like how it is when the work items are listed?
And if I ignore this documentation and hoping the product is fine, give the iteration Id it gives the following very helpful message:
What is a tree? I did not order a tree, Microsoft. So, yeah there is some iteration path, but what is that?
Update: After many tries got the tree Microsoft meant here in the error message. It looks like (yes, a back slash, they can't seems to live without) "\Project-name\Team-name\Area-if-present\Sprint 25". But unfortunately even after giving that Microsoft product tells that I do not have permission do it. While I can do it from the UI without issues. Also tried with PAT tokens also does not work. Another hour of wasted time working with Microsoft stuff.
It is beyond repair how Microsoft documentation is. Half baked products and misleading documentation.
