Description of Feature or Work Requested
Azure Storage Tasks is a Component of Azure Storage, It is a serverless framework, where Azure storage customers can create Storage Task Definition which comprises common Storage Data plane operations. These tasks are then associated with Storage Accounts (hosting the data) where the Azure Storage infrastructure performs the operations defined by a storage task definition on behalf of a customer.
Azure Storage Tasks is a serverless framework for large-scale execution of common operations on objects for Blobs, ADLS Gen2, and files. Storage Tasks is part of an intelligent data framework (IDF) designed to provide extensible data management capabilities for Storage that serve as a foundation for AIOps. Storage Tasks provides no-code task composition with conditional execution of common data management tasks, with a focus on building a scalable infrastructure for task execution. Storage tasks can be used to schedule and delegate common data management, protection, and movement operations on objects to storage infrastructure without provisioning additional compute capacity or writing any code.
