The original PR for this change (https://github.com/Azure/azure-functions-durable-powershell-private/pull/37) is somehow git-history divergent and therefore difficult to merge. I believe I merged some PRs out of order, causing this issue.
For speed's sake, I'm porting the changes to this new PR
