Get-AzConsumptionUsageDetail to include [Product] values for all sub/offer types #13858

Open evogelpohl opened 3 years ago

evogelpohl commented 3 years ago

It appears that the [Product] field within the payload returned from Get-AzConsumptionUsageDetail is NULL for, all of my Azure subs of various offer-types. Note, I'm Role=Owner on all our Subs and I still don't get the Product data (though I get all other Billing details, just fine).

I'm currently using Az.Billing 2.0, but I've tried 4.0.2-Preview as well - same result. [Product] always NULL.

I've never found a blog/doc that explains why this is the case. Billing account type? Wrong offer type? Not billing admin? Not clear. Bug? Feature? Hidden for a reason for some callers?

REQUEST: Include [Product] data in the Get-AzConsumptionUsageDetail return-set for any scope*

@ramaganesan-rg - Thanks. I'd be happy with a MS DOC that explained why the [Product] field is NULL for some account-types and populated for others. Seems arbitrary, though I'm sure there's a logical explanation.
