Hello, I'm coming back to this thread because I'm really stuck on this issue. Every cmdlet from the Az.CloudService module is throwing this error:
Get-AzCloudService : The resource type could not be found in the namespace 'Microsoft.Compute' for api version
'2020-10-01-preview'.
I don't know what to do, or how to manage a Cloud Service Resource. I need to upload the .cspkg and .cscfg files and I can't find any way to do it. Is there a Rest Endpoint available so I can do it myself if the Az.CloudService doesn't work? Is there any documentation/help on this issue?
Basically, this is what I need to do.
Hi @vivere-dally , looks that your subscripion is not available for cloud service. Can you make sure that your account can access cloud service? Is it OK from portal?

Hello @wyunchi-ms, how can I check if the subscription is available? And what does that mean?
In the portal, I can only see the Cloud Service (Classic) resource. Couldn't find the extended counter-part in the marketplace.
Hello @wyunchi-ms Could you please help in this matter, for the previous comment?
Hi @SatishBoddu-MSFT , @vivere-dally , could you use
Get-AzResourceProvider -ProviderNamespace Microsoft.Compute -Location eastus | Where-Object { $_.ResourceTypes.ResourceTypeName -eq 'cloudServices' }
to see whether the operation is registered to your subscription and use
Get-AzResourceProvider -ProviderNamespace Microsoft.Compute -Location eastus | Where-Object { $_.ResourceTypes.ResourceTypeName -eq 'cloudServices' } | % { $_.ResourceTypes }
to see the location and api-version of cloudServices
.

No worries! I am not facing this issue anymore. I think I will close it.
Description
I have a Classic Cloud Service resource that I'm trying to manage. I want to create/update/delete it using the PowerShell Az Module. I found the Submodule Az.CloudService which seems to be intended for this task. I'm trying to get used to this module, but I can't manage to create the CS resource in the cloud.
Steps to reproduce
I followed the guide in the Help section of New-AzCloudService
Environment data
Module versions
Debug output
Error output
