@laxmand17 Have you run "Login-AzureRmAccount", before run "Get-AzureRmStorageAccount". Get-AzureRmStorageAccount don't have credential to list account before run "Login-AzureRmAccount".

Hi Wei,

Yes, I did run the : Add-AzureRmAccount and authenticated to Azure Portal, it is not finding Login-AzureRmAccount cmdlet for some reason.

@laxmand17 "Login-AzureRmAccount“ is the alias of "Get-AzureRmStorageAccount", so run "Get-AzureRmStorageAccount" should be OK.

For you problem, I don't see "AzureRM.Storage" after you run Get-module. This is strange, as "Get-AzureRmStorageAccount" cmdlet is in "AzureRM.Storage" module.

There might be module mismatch issue on your machine, could you install the latest PowerShell from https://github.com/Azure/azure-powershell/releases and try again?

H Wei,

I think, My Install of powershell may have been messed up. I have uninstalled the Windows Azure PowerShell 2016 Install two days ago. But The Cmdlets are working fine now Today looks like. I get the following modules output now. Are these modules list indicates older versions And are there any more newer versions came out recently. I try to update the Modules and may have caused the Issues I believe.

Can you confirm if I can update these modules now, by running Update “AzureRM” Command ??

@laxmand17 would you mind running Get-Module -ListAvailable? We believe that there is a configuration issue with the modules that you have installed on your machine that is causing this error.

@laxmand17 Please try removing Azure.AnalysisServices module from the two directories listed above, and retry your scenario: (Add-AzureRmAccount followed by Get-AzureRmStorageAccount).

If you continue to see an issue, please provide additional debugging information by executing these cmdlets with $DebugPreference="Continue", and including the output here).

Hi Mark,

I am able to run the “Get-AzureRmStorageAccount” now, My Issue has been resolved. I just want to get updated to latest Azure RM Modules. I have prior Release modules It seems, Can I run the “Update AzureRM” command to get updated automatically every week.

Closing this issue as it seems to have been resolved. @laxmand17 we ship a new version of Azure PowerShell every month, so you can run the following commands to get the latest bits:

# Install the ARM modules
Install-Module -Name AzureRM -Repository PSGallery -Force

# Install the RDFE modules
Install-Module -Name Azure -Repository PSGallery -Force
