Thanks for catching this and post a pr! While currently we don't have a plan to release the change in this repo. You are highly encouraged to try the re-written azure-storage-blob (version 12.X.X) https://github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-python/tree/master/sdk/storage/azure-storage-blob
