OPC UA Support or Integration #36

OPC UA is typically an industrial IoT gateway approach that Microsoft supports via IoT Hub.
Is the IoT Plug and Play Gateway approach a parallel approach?
Any integration layer there?
Can your gateway become an MQTT subscriber for instance to “listen” to other gateways?

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for you questions! Azure offers an Industrial IoT platform which supports OPC-UA. At this time, we are not planning to integrate IoT Plug and Play bridge with OPC-UA.

On the topic of MQTT, yes the bridge's MQTT Adapter supports listening to topics and mapping them the IoT Plug and Play interfaces! Let me know if you have any further questions.
