Open SonarSonic opened 3 months ago
Yes @SonarSonic!! We are currently working to allow this feature real soon. It does require a bit of coordination and communication within our underlying infrastructure, but rest assured, as soon as I have the go ahead, I'll notify you here and also there will be an official announcement.
Any update on when this might be available? Thank you for all your work.
Hi @SonarSonic thanks for following up on this, we are super excited to roll this feature. We've been a bit delayed with testing integrations within our vertical teams. Last I checked, the plan is to start the rollout in the coming few weeks, but since I'm not entirely in charge of that rollout, you shouldn't take my word as gospel 😄 I'll make sure to keep an eye out for issues on this, to update as soon as we can.
@Jaxelr that would be really helpful for me too. The code signing certificate I use for SFTPGo is about to expire, more details.
I tried to apply as a corporation, but my LLC has been active since February 2024 and so the identity validation failed. I will wait a few weeks to see if I can apply as an individual. Thanks!
Also looking forward to this rolling out. Following!
Also looking forward to this!
P.S., It seems like customizing the notification settings for issues on this org has disappeared (I only would like to subscribe to status changes). Any help on this?

Exciting news, if this will be possible soon for individual developers. I'm currently research this question and looking forward with Azure
Like, heck yes. Have always wondered why the small developers are left out. There are many honest, hardworking open-source developers that deserve affordable code signing certificates.
How many weeks is a few weeks? Before the end of November?
I'm surely hoping we do so before the end of November. :)
I guess I stand corrected, here's the announcement
@Jaxelr Congrats to the team on launch!
Is there still chatter about an open-source plan as well or is that up in the air?
@Jaxelr Thanks for the update, sir Tried to pass identity verification but got an error on the au10tix side after submitting selfie Click on "Get Support" redirects to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us Tried twice with the same result Any suggestions?
@dimavlade Thats unfortunate, let me ask my team. But in the meantime, can you send me the details to the address on my github profile? I want to make sure we can follow up offline.
@sudara cant say for sure, but trust me I would love for that to be the case. I can ask.
@Jaxelr Done. Please check your mailbox. Subject: "Error during verification for Trusted Signing"
Those are exciting news! I was looking for an affordable way of signing my software.
But unfortunately it doesn't even allow me to sign up for the pay-as-you-go plan, just keeps telling me You're not eligible for an Azure account
and We couldn't create an Azure account for you.
after card verification and doesn't tell why. I hope that support will help me to figure out what's wrong and I will be enjoying this new thing with everybody else =)

I had the same problem with my passport, then I tried with my ID card and it worked
Well, successfully registered, but now I have the same issue with validation that people above are complaining about. I tried my ID, passport, and residence permit. Neither of them worked =( I also tried to do it using both Firefox and Chrome, it didn't help, still getting this error after making a selfie.
Same issue, I've tried twice to verify identity - First time it says "You do not meet the requirements" o0 Then second time I had "Oops, something went wrong!"
Tried a few more times with other documents, same result "Oops, something went wrong!"
@Jaxelr Awesome job on launching this! Do you know if there are any plans to implement the signing as a standalone tool that could also be available on Linux, or to add it to osslsigncode
?
Accessibility for CI is currently greatly hindered by the complicated process which needs to run signtool on Windows 👀 Especially for systems outside of GitHub with their hosted Windows runners.
Same here, tried organisation ID and it has been "in process" since past many days - ID - b8660ecc-5386-4a6f-abac-2e16a9cfb8c3
Tried the Personal id, and that too is not able to verify while it successfully identified my PAN card and US VISA documents which are labelled as valid documents.
Are there plans to allow for Individual Developers to use trusted signing? At the moment I believe it's limited to "legal business entities that have verifiable tax history of three or more years."
I think many developers would love this feature but also would love know when it can be expected so people can save money and time by not going through unnecessary 3rd party providers.
I personally am self-employed and have more than 3 years of tax history, but the identity verification process failed for me.
Thank you for your help!
