Easier management for multiple cities #316

one of the biggest problems I have with Civ6 is having multiple cities near the end of the game where they keep requesting some actions every few turns. the vanilla game is pretty much unusable due to the lack of production queue. but even with the queue it gets really tedious.

if I keep conquering cities, I can accumulate 30+ of them approaching the end of the game. at that point I don't want to manage them. I don't care what they produce, I don't have time to click on multiple screens just to get them to produce something.

I may just need to lead a few units to couple remaining cities to finish the game. or maybe to get to the end of my space project production. everything else is just pointless distraction that does not add anything good to the game experience.

one possible solution I see is having some "multiple city management" screen with a few basic options, like "toggle a group of cities to "industrial/science/whatever projects until I manually reset their production", or something like that. something that would just shut them up for good.

I bet there could be some other way to address the root problem, which is the pain of managing multiple cities, especially if you don't care about micro-managing them anymore.

I'm pretty sure you can indefinitely queue projects by shift- or control-clicking the project.

Not sure if it's vanilla or CQUI (I think it's from the production queue mod).

this is useful to know, thank you. would be great to have an easily discoverable UI action for this though. maybe also make this work in cities list screen with multiple cities.

Yeah there's some unintuitive stuff here and there.

In this case the functionality comes from the Production Queue mod by Kblease, so any changes you'd like to that you should probably report there. Once he makes the changes, it'll be integrated into CQUI as well.

You can find his mod on both github, and steam. You can also find it's "hidden" functionality there, if you're curious.
