Now Playing Crashes When Starting #107

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What postal code/address, search distance, and search date have you set Now
Playing to?
20007

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the app
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The app crashes about 2
seconds after
opening. Rebooted iPhone, but the same thing happens.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Version
3.6 on iPhone
2.2.1

Please provide any additional information below.

What is your email address? This information is optional, but recommended. It
is used by the
developer so he can contact you for more details. ric_dunn@yahoo.com

Same problem, same OS and app versions, same (nearly) date. That's when I
downloaded
a Now Playing update (FairPlay Version 2). Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue; the app launches, and immediately crashes. It is
going straight to the "Reviews"
screen that includes a link to Metacritic.com. I have tried rebooting the
phone, deleting/reinstalling the app, but
nothing seems to fix it. Is there a way to delete the "preferences" file for
the app to clear out the issue?

If you delete/reinstall the app, then no preferences are saved. Could you
provide me with some more details?
What location have you set NowPlaying to, and what movie were you looking at
the reviews for?

Thanks!

It's probably set to 22201, but it might also be set to 20007 (I apparently
live in the same area as the original
poster--near Washington, DC). I don't recall the movie I was trying to get a
review for... I've actually had this
problem for a month or so, but just today got around to looking for a fix. I
will try uninstalling/reinstalling
again, but that did not seem to work before.

i'll look as well. However, i can't imagine what hte problem could be that
could persist through an
unintall/reinstall. that operation is supposed to remove *all* data. if it's
not, then that is a problem on Apple's
end since they control that entire system.

Ok. The problem doesn't repro for me. I tried both postal codes and looked at
several reviews. Hopefully you
will see this fixed with a reinstall.

Please try 3.7 to see if that resolves the issue for you.
