If it's truly a leftover and there aren't any compatibility issues with vanilla servers, then I'd say remove it. The associated asteroid file Li01_debris_field_small.ini
does seem to have a legit sounding name though. However, the fact that it's not listed on the nav map and that it has missing encounters and other ID properties does likely indicate it's not meant to be there.
I verified that anything asteroid related is all done client side so if it doesn't exist in client files, it doesn't appear in game. We can leave Li01_debris_field_small.ini
since it doesn't hurt anything and then just remove the [Asteroids]
and [Zone]
entries referencing it from Li01.ini
. Thoughts?
Sounds good.
I also removed this field in FLSR as it has apparently no reason to exist. Especially NY, Colorado and California are littered with apparently "early" stuff they tested around with and never picked up again later on.
There is a random debris field without a NavMap graphic just Northwest of the Ft Bush/Baltimore Shipyard area. It has no encounters or IDS properties and was probably left over from development based on the name of Zone_Li01_debris_practice_001. Overall, it looks very out of place and just "pops" into view since it lacks a [Band] entry in the asteroid INI. Thoughts?
