Mount to Sockeye via Globus Connect install? #4

Globus Connect to copy files is possible but Afraz could not login using his credentials.

Lisa will raise question at Sockeye focus group coming up regarding remote disk mounting.

Hello Lisa,

Thanks for reaching out to UBC ARC Support. I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have.

1. You cannot mount a remote file system on Sockeye. If you would to transfer data to/from Sockeye, we recommend using Globus or traditional SCP/SFTP.

2. You can access Globus with UBC's organizational login (which requires an active UBC CWL) or you can use one of the other methods listed on the Globus login page [https://app.globus.org/]. However, if you want to access a restricted Chinook allocation, you must login using your CWL.
