BUG: Very slow now with recent tiled update #183

Users report the GUI is very slow (ca. ~30s or more) to respond to actions that used to feel instantaneous. This like changing the window size or moving splitters or paging.

Observation: Interactions with the table of runs (creation, update, resize the QWidget or its splitter, focus or unfocus the QWidget, ...) trigger separate requests to the tiled server for content from every cell visible (either in whole or in part) in the table.
