This ticket looks to be referring to the old github repos, possibly ones which held some of the source content for the old version of DevHub. Whether or not we have a website that points to the content on github, it still exists on github on a public page. So the intent of the ticket seems to be to archive the old content on github to remove any confusion for people who search on google and end up on the the github page, or have old links. I don't think it necessarily needs to be handled by the app-dev team, but it probably still should be considered. It would be good for the app dev team to make sure they aren't using these repos if they're going to be archived. I see Steven made an update to one of these as recently as May, and Ian has made changes in the other repo in April. So probably a better ticket to assign to DXC and platform admins to discuss?
The Platform Services team content has been retired from DevHub in #2757. Retire the source repositories that were used to host this content to indicate to visitors that this information is no longer relevant. Let anyone from our team who has recently (last ~3 months) updated these repos that this is happening beforehand in case they need to move some documents into either of our new websites.

How does this benefit the users of our platform? Users need to receive accurate information, and having duplicate sources of similar information is confusing and causes problems when incorrect information is found and followed.
