Option to remove vanity metrics instance-wide #294

Like discussed in #262, we could provide an option for instances to remove vanity metrics such as followers count / number of boosts or reactions

We should

  1. Define a perimeter regarding which metrics would be hidden and which would remain
  2. Decide if we want to allow this option to be triggered at user-level

Reading your poll also made me think that, while I don't necessarily consider counts to be relevant metrics, they can at least indicate if the profile is active, a frequent user, or has some credibility. What about replacing those metrics with badges that provide that type of information?

Not sure how tbe number of followers gives any sense of activity. Credibility OK maybe.

Regarding activity we can get inspiration from how we dealt with the profile directory : last date of connexion

I would have suggested the number of post, which, combined with the age of the account could have given us an average frequency of publications but with auto-deletion that number wouldn't be accurate.

Maybe we could get the number of posts in the past month for instance ? That would give an idea.

But 2 people posting 10 times a day can have really different impact on your timeline so i feel like all these solutions answer with quantity on a quality issue.

That's why i wanna get rid of those numbers cause in the end they mostly are misleading
