A panel that takes up 1/4 of a block and can be moved around using the 16 placements handle. The ButtonType property could be used to make it extend out for 1/4, 1/2 and a full block. Accepts inputs which will make it go back in and pop back out when inputs are disabled. Start Activated could be used to make it start popped out of the wall, and Start Reversed could control it's portalability. The timer widget could be used to choose an animation for the panel. (I'm no expert in Hammer, but I think it'll be pretty hard to implement, so if it's true, there can be only one straight animation w/o the timer selection widget)

P. S. Also there could be a glass version as a separate item. No Start Reversed because it's made of glass.

So, basically like the old Living Panels from BEE2 alpha? In that case, this would have been suggested before and you should probably take a look at #1583.

On the other hand, I personally initially misinterpreted this as a 1/4 wide panel that could be set to extend for 1/4 or 1/2 or 1/1 of a block. Not exactly sure what such an item as that would be used for, but hey, variety.

@Endermage77 1/4 wide is like a laser catcher. The main purpose is decoration, but I'm sure there can be other uses, such as blocking a portalable surface (the panel is a part of it) (yeah flip panels exist but why not)

Also, if it's possible, could use the gel type setting to allow 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and a full block. Also-also, if there is a free checkbox, could use a checkbox for the default position to be a full block extension. (1/1 in gel type/ButtonType will become the fully inside option). Actually, that would be nice for the piston platform and the angled panels. Also-also-also, non-P2 styles could use a piston instead of a telescopic arm. Or it could be a separate item.

Gel type would be impossible to implement and I think something like this has been suggested before something like this has been suggested before something like this has been suggested before. More or less. I don't have the actuarial tables with me.

@Byzarru maybe an angle setting?
