EXAMPLE: Atlas with a gun that can only fire blue, and P-Body with a gun that can only fire orange

We can't do this, unfortunately. Coop players are hardcoded to only have dual portal devices, or none at all.

This is actually not entirely impossible there is a workshop map @LautaroL20 and I have played that uses a similar mechanic: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=162809160&searchtext=single+portals

Very clever! If you look closely, what I said is still entirely true. What Tmast ChickenMobile and Anna have done is added logic to detect players placing portals, and then immediately swap them with different ones.

There's another portalgun mode I know of, where each of the portals the Coop players have links to the other player's matching portal.

Or would it be possible to make it so for example, Atlas controls the light blue and yellow portals, and p-body controls the purple and red portals, or atlas controls the light blue and red portals, and P-body controls the yellow and purple portals
