Maybe it could have a "Start Reversed" option, where it will stop sending an output when the specified cube enters it.
I feel like that would make more sense as a new item type. That way, you could have a segment that is visually distinct (like the pipe in that one coop level) and wouldn't have to worry about having redundant outputters on every single segment.
Endermage, please read the Edit at the end. This is not referring to Vactubes that the player uses to move around. This is the Pneumatic Diversity Vent that just sucks up objects.
I am finally back and i came up with an idea for the Pneumatic Diversity Vents
Here's the basic draft. We give the item a Cube Type. You know those screens with the different cubes, balls, or turrets?
Well what if we allow it to have an output, and depending on the Cube Type, it will scan for an item of that type.
Example: I give my Vent a "Companion Cube" typing. I toss in a normal cube, nothing happens. I toss in a Companion Cube. The output activates and it opens the door
EXTRA: Could also have a timer feature.
EDIT: Please note i am not referring to Vactubes the player can go through. I am referring to the Pneumatic Diversity Vent that deletes items that go through it
