4 years ago Art therapy is still a very long way off from being finished. The new tiling system @TeamSpen210 Is working on might make the Skybox Tiles possible. Same with grating floors. Other features will be worked on once the style itself is 100% playable from start to finish. @Luke18033 Has tested this for regular portal 2 and it's done now we just need Aperture tag support.
I know that the Art Therapy style is still in development, but I think these would be some nice finishing touches. Here are a couple of tweaks for the Art Therapy style that I think will enhance its appearance.
A. Replace grating with framework There are a lot of these in this style of chamber, giving the user to replace grating with framework would be cool. There could be a separate item or a combined one.
B. Skybox Tiles (covered, grated, open) Maybe add a skybox tile item that the user can place on ceilings and walls to mimic the openings in the chamber. This would probably be covered by framework. There could be a cube type widget to determine whether it is grating framework skybox, framework skybox, or open skybox. Imgur
C. Grating floors In a lot of Art therapy tests, there are grating floors held up by poles going into the goo. These are definitely something that is style specific and would be a very neat addition. They could possibly act like pistons in the editor. Imgur
D. Suspended lights Suspended lights would be a very welcome addition. They would be a bit harder to code due to skybox weirdness, but if done properly this is the kind of item that brings these tests alive.
