Vaultcity courtyard crash fallout2 #182

Vault city crashes. only place ive had crash. a person on nomutants used my save game and had no issue. when I do vanilla FO2 I dont get the crash.. I used ctrl R at title screen to pick a city and went to inner vault city. that worked. I went to vctyctyd.map and it crashed. again with the courtyard(beginning area of vault city) it is a The instructions at 1000431c referenced memory at 00000000 The memory could not be read from" error I get when it crashes. if I turn off the sound and enter vaultcity it will crash with no error message.. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many time.. going in and getting rid of everything that says fallout2. it seems to me to bed an error with that map specifically on my machine. where are the maps read from? the rp installer should put everything in the right place Id assume since a person was able to load my save game and get into vault city. if you have any ideas.. or maybe a vaultcity.sav file I can throw in to my save game file? I am not savy on this stuff much. Ive dont the check disc scan no errors on my hard drive. ram is fine also. have a radeon grphics card. game is not in program files I also used the save game editor after the fact and added vault city to my found places.. went to it and it poped up courtyard and the inner city.. I could go to the inner city but when I traveled to the courtyard it crashed again. hopefully you can help me with this have been loving the RP patch a ton and want to continue. thank you for taking your time to look at this.

this is the crash report. if the zip didnt work had to renam it from .7z to .ZIP also a saved game. Try to collect a debug package with ZAX.

Gorgragar commented 1 year ago

zax_debug_2023-01-27_14-28-02.zip this work? sorry never used ZAX

burner1024 commented 1 year ago

The save works for me. Not sure if that matters, but you should launch fallout2.exe, not fallout2HR.exe.

Gorgragar commented 1 year ago

Tried using the fallout2launcher.exe and the fallout2.exe both crash a vaultcity still.

burner1024 commented 1 year ago

Which RPU version do you have installed? Did you install updated maps, by chance?

Gorgragar commented 1 year ago

I have the v26 from here and no I didnt install updated maps just went with the RPu patch on here.

burner1024 commented 1 year ago

Do you have another PC to try it on? See #171.

Gorgragar commented 1 year ago

Unfortunately I do not. I have seen about maybe 5 people talk about this issue out of I dont know how many so I know this is a rare occurrence.

burner1024 commented 1 year ago

I have nothing else to suggest at this time, unfortunately.

Gorgragar commented 1 year ago

I was thinking it was a long shot. so no worries. Thank you for your time. If I do happen to find a solution I will let you know.
