css3Fonts is a fork of css3FontConverter from Zoltan Hawryluk.

Originally css3FontConverter has 2 different licenses, LPGL in readme.txt and MIT in convertFonts.sh which will be printed to each css file created. convertFonts.sh is now renamed to css3fonts.

You have changed both of them to WTFPL in 2df242b1646509fce8e7babaef2d1bd530db523d and 85647ef1cd8bd35e57227d27699e26d89134260a, which is not allowed by either of them.

Also you have removed all credits and copyright to Zoltan Hawryluk and I don't think you have ask @zoltan-dulac to do so.

Furthermore you have injected some links in css3fonts and readme.md to an advertisement site: mrkt.ga, which has nothing to do with this script and is just some adware for getting money. Most important this advertisement site link will be printed to each css file created. There is also a link named css3fonts from the installation instruction on gundlach-marketing.com pointing to this adsite.

It's really a shame that you turn this beautiful piece of software from Zoltan Hawryluk to some fucking adware just to get some fucking money.

Beside that I also see that you've made some nice little enhancements and cleaning up of the code, but this doesn't make you the author but only a contributor. So you have no right to remove the credits to Zoltan Hawryluk and reassign the copyright to yourself.

So please revert the licenses to the originals and restore all credits to Zoltan Hawryluk removing the copyright to yourself. Also please remove all links to mrkt.ga.

Otherwise I would advice @zoltan-dulac as the copyright holder to submit a DMCA Takedown Notice to GitHub as this is stolen software.

BTW, I have found some little issues.

Hello there,

@henri-hulski Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

@BGundlach I am glad you are interested and have enhanced the css3FontConverter. Making enhancements is the reason why I released this to the web development community, and building on it makes everyone in the community benefit. Thank you for doing this.

However, I am a little confused as to why you removed the license I put in with your own. Admittedly, I did put in two licenses (my bad and was a typo) and I will fix this in the next release of the css3FontConverter (the intention was to release this under the MIT license)

I am also a little taken aback by you removing my credit in the readme.txt file, While I do assume this was done by accident and not by malice (I notice that it's still in the comments of the script itself), I will say that I have spent a lot of time creating this tool for the web development community for free, and have volunteered my time making enhancements. When a developer removes the original credit in an open source projects, it can be seen as disrespectful to the developers involved and discourages the creation of new software by those developers.

I respectfully have two requests here:

1) Please change your license back to MIT. 2) I would ask you link back to the original css3FontConveter and put credit in the readme.txt file, as well as the generated CSS files.

Note that I am not against any forking and redistributing the software. I just want to ensure that the courtesy and respect I give other open source developers are given to me as well.

I thank you in advance for your understanding. Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns.

Cheers, Zoltan Hawryluk.
