Performance issues with mindLAMP

Collaborators have reported some significant issues regarding performance when using the Hindi version of the mindLAMP app:

• Running mindLAMP causes excessive battery drain.
• If the back button is pressed, the app crashes; the screen goes black and becomes unresponsive for a little while.
• In between levels of Spatial Span the screen goes blank.
• The app slows down when cognitive tests begin.
• At the end of each test, the app freezes and has to be restarted. This seems to be especially true for Jewels and Spatial Span.
• A user on iPhone 14 was automatically logged out 3 times in the span of 4 days.

Some of these issues are related to #812.
