Merge Non-Functional tests into main branch #12

Hi!

The benchmarks are done, if everythings alright please merge them into the main branch 😄

According to the JMH Gradle plugin, the package code will be needed to be moved from the tests folder under a new "JMH" folder, which I will do once the gradle build is set up on the main branch.
