Make it clear that there's no code in master and folks should look at dev

Ohhhhh... are there downsides to the default branch being set dev on github? I've cruised through this repo out of idle interest over the last few months, and missed this detail

EDIT: I'm seeing those linked issues, but always thought GitHub's "default" was just a convenience thing for users visiting the repo -- it doesn't mean anything real about that branch, right? Side-perk: contributors graph and repo contributor stat blocks would include the people doing work right now

vercel uses the production branch as the default branch. i've set dev to default and imagine it will eventually be renamed to main. deleting master
