Hello ...

Python 2 is not officially supported anymore ... https://www.python.org/doc/sunset-python-2/#:~:text=We%20have%20decided%20that%20January,as%20soon%20as%20you%20can.

I am not spending more time trying to install pysam with python 2. With python 3, pysam installation is absolutely no problem.

If you want your tool to live on, I would highly suggest making a python 3 version.
