While trying to sign a transaction with my nano s opened in the btcp i had the message "read error". The status of the nano was to "connected" on bottom right of the app. I tried to close the nano s (disconnect power + reconnect) and still there was a "read error" when trying to sign. I then tried to close the electrum wallet and reopen it (another wallet was opened in another window), while opening it, the app showed "read error" on open and the ledger nano bottom right was to "disconnected" red status.
I finally went on and closed all my wallets from the app and reopened the ledger and it finally worked. I think there should be a message or something to handle this scenario.
