Absolutely can be done
For the record I don't want to make a habit of splash text suggestions as github issues because that could get out of hand, but I think this one is fair to include
This is a good way to use your platform, thank you.
This should be opened until it's complete, sorry about that. 😅
Will this be a stand alone push or part of an update?
It feels like you'd like to get this in sooner rather than later, is there a reason for that? Just so we have the whole context.
I was thinking some people would complain if this was just the update, mainly bigots, so it may be better to sneak this in with a bigger update.
Either way, it's great to show where we stand!
Last time someone decided to be a bigot, we permanently changed the icon of our Discord to support LGBTQ+ causes and if you check the branding folder of this repository, you'll find that we have official queer branding and such :)
So we don't mind taking some heat, but yeah, this wouldn't warrant its own release and would go into the next official release purely for practical reasons (we tend to do bigger releases with lots of changes).
isnt that the guy in Super better than wolves they say Fuck [blank] to?
The Better than Wolves team feels very strongly about LGBTQ issues, and this message is not political, but rather about simple human rights. The statement is very simple: we think that being trans is a human right and in light of that, basic trans rights are just human rights. This statement is offered as a stepping point for conversation, which might be political, but that's the line in the sand: we start with human rights and that's not politics, that's not up for debate, that's not a matter of opinion: you either wants trans kids safe or you don't. That is how we dismantled slavery, allowed everyone to vote, attacked racism, and provide freedom for who we love.
We also don't want this git issue to behave like a honey trap to catch anyone though, so we closed it to collaborators and censored a message that we consider to be ill-informed. The further conversation mentioned above should definitely not happen on this issue tracker and will not happen here.
Self explanatory.
