Sometimes you cannot enter to the vehicle #18

My players are complaining that sometimes they cannot enter to the vehicle. They need to go back and then try the door again and then it works most of the time. Can you check that?

I am aware of it, and we have been trying to track the issue. Can you give us a list of the vehicles in question that are doing this so debugging would be faster? We have theory that maybe the animations are being snagged.

Ye I told my players to give me a screenshot of the cars that they will get this bug.

Great, we have been looking at it for the past week. I may push an update this week to fix some stuff as we don't plan on updating again for the rest of this year until we have armored all our vehicles and added the rest for this timeline so the more bugs I know about the better.

Hey, i have even gif of it happening (beware it has 30MB) Recorded sequence:

  1. getting into vehicle (no problem)
  2. getting out and running away (doors unlocked, engine off)
  3. getting back and failed to enter
  4. retry with successfully entering vehicle

Thanks, we are working on a solution now. We are messing with another bug now that's a little more critical.

We have a test version of the mod with the newest update on it, we would be curious to see you load a single player save with it and see if it loads. We are cautious about pushing an update now as we would like to preserve people's saves/servers. If either of you would like to test it and tell me if your games load after driving around (be sure to see the K10 pickup trucks in your view) we would be good to push a possible patch out sooner. Just be aware this version of the mod isn't meant to be put anywhere else.

A quick update- we have established a fix for the car delay. It will be in this upcoming patch.

Just tested it and it seems to be fixed. Did i noticed correctly that you are moving player away from door area before door open animation and then back?

Correct, the hanging is caused by the player's auto pathing hitting the physics box on some vehicles and getting stuck, so all vehicles have a buffer area to avoid that in the future.

Is there anything you've seen or is all fine?

That is only relevant to the test version. It won't be on the public release.

The mod should be ready for an update tomorrow. After that, we will be going dormant for updates because we will be armoring every car and adding in 11 more cars for the 1990's era. I suspect we will update again after this point around December.
