BUTR / MnB2-Bannerlord-CommunityPatch

This is going to be a mod that just fixes up some things in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord before the Devs & QA team can get to them. They have priorities and a process.

Militia Related Policies Do Not Increase Quantity/Growth, Quality Does not Stack #127

As an owner of a Castle Fiefdom, I wish that my implemented kingdom policies implementation accurately reflect their description/intent, so that my fief can prosper.

For Kingdom policies:

It is implied by description these policies related to villages. Both effect quality of militia of said villages, (10% increase for each policy). Charter of Liberties effects quantity also.

I have seen quality increase by 10%, but not by 20% with both policies included. I have seen no increase of militia quantity, nor has the growth rate of militia quantity increased to meet said amount. Further testing may be required to reproduce, but this has been my experience.

For Kingdom Policy:

This is stated to increase militia production by 1, but the wording of the description is not explicit. It only seems to be applied to towns, not castles or villages. The description references settlements, therefore is a castle/village not a settlement? I have seen descriptions in other policies (War tax) where both wording town and settlement is used, which implies to me a town is not a settlement, or at least a castle/village may be a settlement.

For Kingdom Policy:

Similar behavior as seen above, the description is very explicit in terms of its references to villages. It does not increase militia growth rate within a village (intention is +1 per day).

It may be worth investigating the other related policies.

Hi, thanks for the info. I'll take a look at updating some policies. Looking at the code, there are quite a few that has not yet been implemented by TW (just like a lot of the perks). Should be easy enough to patch it in. Btw, do you know what militia quality should even do?

Thanks. From what I've seen the application of quality is as follows, of a village of 100 militia members, before:

After 10% Applied:

The ratio of archers/spearmen is usually fairly random.
