Fix Perk "One Step Ahead" #14

The third perk in the Tactics branch, "One Step Ahead", does not work as of e1.0.5. Any chance you could patch it in?

that perk hasn't worked correctly since the launch, almost none of the perks are working the way they are described to work if they work at all.

your supposed to have time to setup your troops and issue orders before the enemy is allowed to move. They meaning TW I don't think have ever stated how long the perk is supposed to give you to setup. I would think atleast 60 seconds. Its a Tactics Perk which is supposed to give you an edge in troop verses troop combat. The chance to order your units into formation etc.

Oh yeah, I've never seen it have any affect... I'll look into it.

I always imagined it might work something like the PBOD mod from Warband. PBOD stands for Pre-Battle-Deployment-Orders. As KenRiehle explained, it along with most of the perks in the game donesnt function. I haven't looked through the code yet myself to see if its only disabled or was never actually added in the first place.

This was never added in the first place, I've taken a look into it previously and have something semi functional, but its highly buggy and not really fit for purpose.

There's only two type of 'Deployments' available in the code: 'Ambush' - Not implemented 'Siege' - As we know.

Hmmmm, its strange that they wouldn't have implemented it at all. In their "Known Issues" thread on Tale Worlds Forums, Tale Worlds doesn't point out that they haven't implemented some of the perks. Instead they only say "Some perks might not be working properly." https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/known-issues-updated.401168/
