I read the manual about OpenXY and found it can analyze and plot line scans. But I didn't found the choice "Line Scan Plots" in the software.

Does anyone know how to plot strain components or GND density distribution along a given line?

Thanks a lot!

Hi HuiHui, when the Wiki talks about linescans, it means that it can deal with (and plot) a scan that is only one column of points wide. The software is not set up to plot values along a chosen line of a rectangular scan (which it appears is what you want). You can readily extract the GND values from the resulting .mat file. At the moment, the strain values are not saved anywhere, but I could easily have these saved to the .mat file if it would be helpful. Then you could easily write a short script to plot out along a given line. You can contact me on dfullwood@byu.edu if you want this kind of help. All the best, David Fullwood
