how to Enable PC Calibration: Check "PC Calibration #18

Dear Developer,

I am now trying to run the Example (https://github.com/BYU-MicrostructureOfMaterials/OpenXY/wiki/Example).

Could you please tell me how to do step 6 "Enable PC Calibration: Check "PC Calibration"". I do not know where to tick.

In addition, when I press Green "Run" button
in the home GUI, The PC Calibration GUI did not show up at all. Therefore, I was not able to do step 10-13. It directly calculated GND and strain followed by OutputPlotting GUI. I still can get some results, but I am not sure whether this is correct or not (see images below). My question is how can I do step 6 and steps 10-13? image

Sorry, that tutorial is slightly out of date. Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I will fix the tutorial. For the time being, at step 6, you would go to Settings>PC Calibration (Described here) and carry out steps 10-13.

Hi Zach. Following up on this issue. I have the latest version of the OpenXY software. As stated in the steps 10-3, it does not have any button called "Select points" in the PC calibration. I can reach the correct place by going to "Add new PC". However, when I come to the stage of selecting the points on the map, after clicking the points, I am unable to come out of the window. Right clicking the last point doesnt work and pressing Enter results in the following error on the command window:

Error using ParforProgMon (line 40) 'pctconfig' requires Parallel Computing Toolbox. Error in PCCalAlkortaKinematic (line 58) ParforProgMon('Point Calibration ',npoints*(1+iterCalcF),1,450,50); Error in PCCalAlkorta (line 32) PCData = PCCalAlkortaKinematic(Settings,PlaneFit,Inds); Error in PCGUI>NewPC_Callback (line 331) PCData = PCCalAlkorta(Settings,PCSettings{5}); Error in gui_mainfcn (line 95) feval(varargin{:}); Error in PCGUI (line 42) gui_mainfcn(gui_State, varargin{:}); Error in matlab.graphics.internal.figfile.FigFile/read>@(hObject,eventdata)PCGUI('NewPC_Callback',hObject,eventdata,guidata(hObject)) Error while evaluating UIControl Callback.

Could you please guide how to solve this issue?

Hi DeeSMits, it looks like you don't have the parallel computing toolbox installed. Can you check that. Then if you still have an issue, it is probably better to email me directly with what you are trying to do, and the unresolved issues. Thanks David dfullwood@byu.edu
