Try clicking 'No' and letting OpenXY find the grains. Maybe it's an issue with the UP format, which hardly anyone uses.
I Clicked "No," and the same problem occurred. although the type 1 and type 2 grain files are present in the same directory

One suggestion is to not have file names with spaces in them. This is probably not an issue, but I'm not sure. Your folder name also is odd - ending in a hyphen. It sounds like it is having issues with your files. I thought you said it was a up2 format, but you have selected an ang file. You can email me directly on dfullwood@byu.edu.

Thank you very much for your response. For the "Select Scan File" option, I selected a scan file (.ang), and then a small window popped up asking me to select the grain file manually because no matching grain file was found. When I select the grain file iget an error. For the "Select Image File" option, I selected the .up2 file, and I got an error also. below a screenshot of the error I get on Matlab when I tru run openXY
there is an issue with the scan size / number of scan points. I take it you have done a hexagonal scan rather than a square scan (square scan is preferred). I suggest you email me directly rather than working through the Github interface, and maybe we can set up a time to zoom later or something.

Hello,
I am trying to run openXY, and when I select the scan file (.ang ), I get the following message: " No matching grain files were found. Would you like to manually select a grain file?" when I press yes and I select the type 1 grain file, the selected scan file is gone, and I have to select the scan file again, and the same thing happens again. The same thing happens when I try to select the finest image ( I select OIM map.up2 format ). I would appreciate your immediate response and help.
