Hi, have you tried Cannons plugin? It's updated and fully supported by Movecraft and also allows many options and variations of cannons (also AA), projectiles, effects, automations, precise targeting, etc.
I'm not sure if "any time sinking" is really good way. It brings a question "Why author not asked for merge request?" It's not too much fair play for players, which are currently offline (or can't be online so often like main buccaneers). But sure, main word in this has @msummers123.
I have seen the said cannon plugin, however, I believe that the Pirate Cannon plugin is simple and would be much easier to implement and for users to understand.
Also, the fork that I suggested looking at may be incomplete, I don't know, just that as a config option it could be quite useful.
I don't think that Cannons is hard to implement, yes it has complicate configurations, because it's much more universal and customable, but in default predefined config it's usable without any changes in files, there is also few examples ready to use and nice tutorial.
Hmm, maybe then. Still think Pirate Cannon would be better.
And small comment to the title on your link: "NO ABANDONED FLOATING SHIPS" ... try to imagine, that you are a player which is far far away from home, flying over country (or in worse case: over deep space) and you want to go sleep (in real world) ... so what you will do? You will return back to the base before you go to the bed? Or just leave the game and will continue tomorrow from that point where you are? ... I and many other players prefere stay where I'm ... so ship is abandoned ... and then comes someone else and blow up my ship ... what's happend tomorrow? In worse case, you will be spawned on previous position (if you have spaceship, airship or aircraft, you will be spawned in very high location) ... next will come fall down (in space, where isn't floor, directly death), followed by lose all equipment, XP, etc. ... sinking abandoned ship is nice, but mostly for those who shoot ... but not for craft-owners who are just on lunch.
Perhaps a /logoff or /link command that links a craft to a unique user/password for up to 7 days?
I like the idea for no floating wrecks as it can be a pain to clean up a ton of floating wrecks and I'm noticing ships can apparently partially sink and some of it is sunk but in the air but sunk and there wasn't any blocks there that wasn't connected to the craft I'll have a separate issue opened on that
Hi BaccaYarro,
I just saw your latest YouTube Update Video today and have a suggestion for improving cannons.
My server that I ran for a while used a plugin called "Pirate Cannon" (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/cannon/) alongside Movecraft. Unfortunately, the developers are no longer supporting it and don't seem to respond to any messages. However, I believe that it could be incorporated into Movecraft extremely well, and with your knowledge of the Movecraft code you could allow cannons to search for chests next to them to remove ammunition from.
This Artillery plugin (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/artillery/) would also be an interesting basis for ground-to-ground and ground-to-air combat. Combined with your new AA/Cannon Director this would be really interesting to see. Personally, I'd be willing to donate a little for your effort.
Now I'd like to mention the sinking mechanics. While trying to locate the correct github to make this suggestion I find this person had been working on his own fork of Movecraft which allowed for things like ships to always be piloted even when released to allow for sinking at any time. Thought you might be interested. Link: https://github.com/seancorder/MoveCraft
