Multiple output formats per one run #189

Hi,

it is possible to make IntaRNA output two files (two different output setups) like one detailed RNA:RNA interaction file and one customizable CSV file? Or basically any combination of possible output formats. I know these output files contain the same information, but for further analysis I usually need a CSV file but I also like to look at the graphical representation (ASCII chart) of the interaction and right now I cannot have both per one run of IntaRNA (I have to run it twice and set different --outMode parameter.

Thanks for this great tool :) Karolína

Hi Karolina, indeed it is currently not possible to generate in one go different main outputs. :-/ good point. I will definitely put that on my todo list, but if requires some internal restructuring to make it possible.

As an alternative: if you are "only" interested in the ASCII chart of the interaction, this can also be generated eg from the hybridDB output (given the sequences). For instance, the IntaRNA webserver generates with a dedicated Javascript function the ASCII visualization. If it helps, you can either grab the respective JS code from the webserver webite source code, or I can dig it out and send via email. In the long run, I was thinking to create a website for this visualization part only, but never got beyond the idea.. ;)

Sorry for the limited help for now but thanks for the feature request! Will keep it on my agenda! Best, Martin
