empty log file UBUNTU 12.10 #104

If reporting a bug, please ensure the bug is present in the latest
developmental source (checkout from SVN). Some major bugs have been fixed
already.

Logkeys works perfectly in version 12.04, updated my Ubuntu to version 12.10 
and LogKeys stopped working

What steps will reproduce the problem?

aW : PHILCO NETBOOK PHN 11A-P123WS

erroR : empty log file

What is the expected output?

aW : log of keyboard

What do you see instead?

aw : nothing

What version of the product are you using (`logkeys --help`)?

The same with me. Used to work well in Ubuntu 12.04 but after the upgrade to 
12.10 the problem as described happens with me.

Also had this problem but latest git version seems to fix it.  The version in 
ubuntu's repository appears to be older.

I have the same problem, the log file is empty. I'm using ubuntu 12.10 32bit

same here, logkeys version: 0.1.1a, Ubuntu 12.10, Linux 3.5.0-27.

cat /dev/input/event2 shows something, so I start
logkeys --start -o /tmp/test.log --device=event2
The logfile is created, but zero bytes long. No errors anywhere, logkeys return 
with exit code 0.

I tried the latest git version, too (today is 2012-04-25), but it did not work 
either.

I think issue 84 is similar.

USB-Keyboard output at  sudo cat /dev/input/event6, but logfile empty.
