No Icon or Description using Homebrew Channel #19

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. The current "Quake.elf" file doesn't show up in the Homebrew Channel
2. Renaming "Quake.elf" to "boot.elf" will allow it to be displayed...
3. but there is no name nor a graphic icon.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Using the homebrew Channel, it displays "/apps/Quake/boot.elf -- <No
description>"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Running the Homebrew channel Beta 8

Please provide any additional information below.
Provided you copied the PAK files over, the game still runs great. This is
just a cosmetic blemish.

I went ahead and created two title icons that can be used. One says QUAKE WII,
the
other just says QUAKE.

This should be deleted as the creator of the problem has not completed the
proper
steps, ie adding a meta.xml and an icon.png.

I have actually solved the problem by adding the meta.xml and icon.png. I had
to make
them myself. I only posted this so maybe they would be included in further
releases.
Not everyone has the knowledge to do all these steps, especially when the steps
are
scattered across the net.
