AI does not open cargo bay doors to fire concealed Missiles. #36

Hi again.

When using the AI to dogfight, it will not open cargo doors to fire missiles stored inside.

Sounds like you have FAR installed, in which case, you need to tell the missiles that they're in a bay. (right click menu btw.)

I do have Far installed. I did tell the missiles that they are in a bay. The AI does not open the bay doors to fire the missiles (just flies around with missiles selected) in competition mode.

I started looking at the source last night, to see if maybe I can help figure this one out.

This is a BDA problem, not a FAR problem.

Which bay, missiles/bombs, and mount (hardpoint, rotary rack, ect.) are you using?

Shuudoushi, I'm using 2x rotary racks in a MK2 cargo bay. The rack is facing down, as it is supposed to be, the fore rack has 8 aim-9's onboard and the aft rack is carrying 8 aim-120's.

Seems you have found a legit bug! Now to wait for baha to pop back up.

I think I know the problem. I encountered this while putting missiles on a rotary rack. If the missile is facing a part of your craft, it will not fire properly and might confuse the AI.

Did you mount the racks front to back, or back to front? I could only recreate this with front to back, which causes a "jammed" missile situation (the missile sees that the launch craft is too close to it, thus won't fire via AI).

I believe I mounted them front to back. I will zip the craft and attach it XFA-397 Deadly-Nightshade.zip

Win 10 x64 KSP 1.3.1 (Clean) Launched different players (x86, x64) Mods: BDArmory (1.0.0); ModuleManager (2.8.1); PhysicsRangeExtender (1.5.0). In the console and the log, there are no errors.

When choosing missiles / bombs (hidden in the cargo), in manual or automatic (AI), the cargo does not open! I used various cargoes and suspensions / racks for missiles. Missiles do not intersect with the ship's hull (MK3 for example). In manual and automatically (AI) everything works perfectly, if you open the cargo first. The feeling that the BDA does not see or does not work with the cargo. Although in the previous version (I do not remember which one) everything worked perfectly (chose a rocket - the cargo opened or AI chose the target - the cargo opened). In what there can be an error ???
