same problem here on firmware 1.1.4, rhythmic crackles when official headphones
plugged in. Inbound voice is ok, outbound, all that comes out is crackles.
Strange. I am sure when I was using 1.1.2 firmware with siphon, this was not
the case

Same problem with beta 5 on firmware 2.1.
I can compare sound quality with Symphonie
(http://braun.daniel.free.fr/symphonie/index.html) which uses
libraries libeXosip2, libosip2, pjmedia. Symphonie sound is perfect better than
X-lite.

It's depends of the outgoing call provider destination
If I call someone on Tele2 : Bad
If I call someone on Orange : fine
but I haven't this differences with Symphonie. I will try other provider.

It seems like their is no jitter buffer or its not large enough on the client
side. I notice break up and jitter at
times.
